CHEF
CHRIS LITTS
Chef Litts Has Two Passions:
The Outdoors and the Love
for Food and Hospitality
His passion for food and hospitality was ignited
While pursuing his passion for the outdoors studying environmental science in the Adirondack Mountains, his true passion for food and hospitality was sparked. He started watching Great Chefs of America and exploring different restaurants throughout his time in college. He was inspired by Julia Childs and Jacques Pépin.
Chef Litts followed his newfound passion
Chris Litts completed his culinary degree at Schenectady County Community College Culinary Arts Program in the late 90s. He was asked (prior to graduation) to move to Napa Valley to work at the Culinary Institute of America—Greystone. While in Napa Valley, he was very instrumental in the success of the Michelin Star-rated, Martini House as Chef de Cuisine. He also partnered with his mentor, Todd Humphries, to create the fine casual dining restaurant, The Kitchen Door. He often cooked for celebrities who came to visit Napa Valley.
Chef Litts landed in Savannah, Georgia
Chef Litts made his way back to the East Coast, where he helped his prior student, Ryan Glass, with his restaurant, Camellia Cafe in Fairhope, AL. Together they raised the cafe to win Best Fine Dining in Alabama for 3 consecutive years.
Ultimately, Chef Litts landed in Savannah in 2022 to be closer to family. He has connected with the people in the Lowcountry and feels he has truly found his home.
When Chef Litts first arrived in Savannah, he took the position of corporate chef with Ele and the chef. After an extremely successful year learning the Savannah restaurant culture, he decided he needed to return to his love of cooking and hospitality on a more intimate level with time to enjoy the outdoors and his family.
Chef Litts founded The Curated Chefs in August 2023. He is thrilled with his decision to share his creative talent and delicious food with locals and vacationers.
